TERMS & CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions apply to all and any bookings made directly with La Villa Laure – 15/17 rue Ollife – 14800 Deauville (not including bookings made with other online parties such as airbnb, group bookings or conference bookings).
By making a booking with us, the customer confirms having read and agreed with our terms and conditions and that the person responsible for the booking will ensure that other guests are also aware of these terms and conditions.
These terms and conditions are subject to modification at any time, without prior notice; the applicable terms and conditions will be those in force on the booking date.

ARTICLE 1- TARIFFS

The prices shown are in euros and include taxes as well as any VAT applicable at the time of booking. Any change to the rates, VAT or new taxes introduced by the relevant authorities after the booking date will be applied automatically to the prices upon invoicing.
The prices given are per bedroom, for the number of guests indicated and for the selected period, and they do not include other services (unless explicitly stated).
The tourist tax is an additional charge and must be paid on site. The rate for this will be the applicable rate enforced by the local authorities for the property concerned (unless otherwise stated at the time of booking).
Certain services and facilities will incur additional charges and can be modified without prior notice and without the property owner being liable in any way.
Any booking confirmed is subject to the prices and conditions at the time of booking. Promotions, reductions and special offers cannot be applied retrospectively.

ARTICLE 2- BOOKINGS AND PAYMENT METHODS

Bookings can be made on the website https://villalaure.com, by telephone, by email or by post.
The booking is only considered to be a confirmed booking once the client has provided a deposit or a valid credit card number for payment, AND has received a detailed booking confirmation.
Payment for all and any services and facilities must be made directly on arrival at the property (except for pre-paid bookings, paid in full at the time of booking).
The property owners reserve the right to refuse any booking in the event that the credit card number is incorrect or the booking details are incomplete.
Whatever the nationality of the client, bookings must be paid for in euros.
La Villa Laure accepts payment using Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit cards, et and we use a secure booking system (SSL) to protect and encrypt any sensitive data provided in order to prevent this information being divulged to any third party.
Once the booking is accepted, a deposit will be taken of 30% of the total cost of the booking.

We reserve the right to take a higher deposit in the following circumstances:
– A promotional offer that is non-refundable
– If the validity date of the credit card is earlier than the arrival date for the booking

In all cases, the client will be asked upon arrival to present the credit card with which the booking was made. If this is not possible, La Villa Laure reserves the right to refuse the booking and to cancel it.

The client alone is responsible for choosing the services and facilities that will suit their needs, and the owners of La Villa Laure are in no way responsible for these choices.

ARTICLE 3-FORCE MAJEURE

Force majeure is any large-scale event beyond human control such as natural and unavoidable catastrophes that interrupt the expected course of events, and prevent either party from fulfilling contractual obligations, in part or in full. This includes transport strikes, strikes of personnel, weather disasters or national disruption such as riots.

ARTICLE 4- MODIFICATION AND CANCELLATION

Any modification or cancellation of a booking for La Villa Laure must be made by sending an email to the property owner info@lacloseriedeauville.com or by telephoning 02.31.14.15.16 or on the website www.lacloseriedeauville.com

– If the modification/cancellation occurs more than 48 hours before the arrival date, the deposit will be refunded or carried over to a future booking.
– If the modification/cancellation occurs less than 48 hours before arrival, then the full amount of the first night’s stay will be debited from the client’s credit card; this includes non-arrival

These conditions concern BAR tariffs, loyalty and flexible rates.

Special offers (non-refundable and non-transferrable) are subject to other conditions, which are given at the time of booking.
Any request to modify or cancel a booking is only deemed to be accepted once the client has received confirmation from the property owner in writing.

For bookings made online through partner websites, cancellations must be made through the same site as the original booking. The conditions can vary depending on the partner.
Should a client wish to stay longer than originally intended, the request to extend the stay must be made at the latest 10am on the original departure day, in order to confirm availability and prices.

ARTICLE 5- SERVICES AND FACILITIES

For health and safety reasons, pets are not allowed into the breakfast room.
The rooms are available from 4pm on arrival day and must be vacated before 12pm on the day of departure. Any client who stays beyond this time can be invoiced an additional fee. In the event of an arrival later than 8pm, please arrange in advance with the owner.
By booking with us and accepting these terms and conditions, the client agrees to use the services and facilities available with due respect and diligence. In the event of any behaviour that is not deemed to be acceptable to the public and to other guests, the property owner reserves the right to ask the client to leave the premises immediately, and this with no indemnity or refund.

ARTICLE 6- ACCOMMODATION CHANGES

If there is no availability at La Villa Laure or in the event of force majeure, the property owner reserves the right to offer clients alternative accommodation for all or part of the stay in accommodation that is of equivalent or superior quality, offering facilities of the same kind. The costs of any such transfer will be paid for by the property owner, but there will be no additional refunds or indemnities.

ARTICLE 7- COMPLAINTS

Any complaint must be addressed to La Villa Laure and sent by recorded delivery, within 15 days of the departure date of the booking concerned. After this period, no complaint will be taken into account.

ARTICLE 8- DATA PROTECTION & FREEDOM OF INFORMATION

In accordance with the French Data Protection and Freedom of Information Law (la loi 78-17, dite informatique et liberté), clients are informed that when they make a booking, their details are held in digital format. Clients have the right to access and modify any such data by contacting La Closerie Deauville – 59, rue Albert Fracasse – 14800 Deauville. Please note that any data gathered during the booking process is not shared with any third parties.

La Villa Laure offers guests WiFi internet access. Clients using these facilities commit to respect this internet access and not to use it for reproducing, sharing or communicating any work protected by copyright or equivalent protection, including text, images, photos, music, videos, software, video games, without the express authorisation legally required.

ARTICLE 9- RESPONSIBILITIES

La Villa Laure cannot be held responsible for any theft, loss or damage to a client’s belongings during their stay.
The client is responsible for his or her belongings and must take measures to protect them from damage, vandalism or theft that could occur during the stay, and must also ensure that no damage befalls any furniture, decoration or belongings within the property.
La Villa Laure reserves the right to ask any client to leave the property immediately in the event of any damage to the property or its furnishing and decoration if this damage has been caused by enabled by the client; in such an event, the client will have no recourse to a refund in part or in whole.

Art.10- APPLICABLE LAW

These terms and conditions are a non-certified translation of the French document, provided to help guests who do not speak French. These will apply in regards to fundamental rules or rules pertaining to form. In the event of litigation, the French original shall be considered binding and any litigation will be under the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts.
